Description
It’s a high altitude Ceylon tea, but not too high as in 2000m, where the flavour is delicate, and not a low country variety (the most common) that creates a thick, dark, brew. This tea has a good balance between the mountains and the lower hills, yielding delicacy and flavour. We present you with a broken Orange Pekoe being the most sought after standard as fannings (BOPF). Fannings represent small particles though not as small as dust as found in most tea bags. These factory fresh leaf fannings will, due to their granularity, yield a strong, flavoursome brew relatively quickly – a “builder’s brew.”
You may be surprised at how few are the number of teaspoons needed for a regular three cup tea pot, for a good brew, but you may need to adjust quantity to taste. We recommend starting with two teaspoons per pot and adjusting as needed. Suffice to say, that a teaspoon will be stronger than a tea bag and your purchase could serve you considerably longer than a box of tea bags.
